This Level 2 safeguarding children course is designed for professionals who work regularly with children and young people and may be involved in the safeguarding and child protection process. Building on the foundations of Level 1, this course provides deeper knowledge of the referral and assessment process, multi-agency working arrangements, and how to contribute effectively to safeguarding within your organisation. Fully aligned with KCSIE and Working Together to Safeguard Children, this course ensures you meet statutory training requirements.

How to make an effective referral to children's social care, what information to include, consent and information sharing, and what happens after a referral is made.
Multi-Agency Working
Understanding Local Safeguarding Children Partnerships, the role of different agencies, and how to work together effectively to safeguard children.
Child Protection Conferences
The purpose and process of child protection conferences, core groups, and child protection plans — and your role as a professional.
Safeguarding in Practice
Applying your knowledge through case studies and scenarios, reflective practice, and maintaining professional curiosity.

Multiple-choice assessment with a pass mark of 80%. Scenario-based questions included. Unlimited retakes available.

Renewal Guidance
Safeguarding training should be refreshed at least every 2 years. DSLs and senior staff should update their training annually.
